Saffron (Crocus sativus L.) was chosen as the active ingredient because it contains crocin, pirocrocin, and safranal. The phenolic and carotenoid compounds present in saffron are the most important sources of antioxidant activity. This study aims to formulate face mist halal of saffron flower extract.

Methods: Saffron were extracted by maceration method using aquadest. Face mist with different extract concentration (F1: 0,7%, F2: 0,8%, and F3: 1%) was made with some additional additives. Identification of product halalness is studied based on list issued by Indonesian Ulama Council. Several characteristic tests have been carried out such as organoleptic test, pH, spray spreadability test, spray condition test, and dry time test.

Results: In general, the results of halal identification found that all materials used in this study were halal. Physical characteristics test show that F1, F2, and F3 meet the requirements of good face mist where F3 has better dry time.

Conclusion: Formulation 3 (F3) was the best formulation found in this study with the best organoleptic conditions, pH, spray power, dispersion, and dry time.
2023-08-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Azmi Rahmadani Peran Label Halal dalam Keputusan Konsumen Memilih Obat 2023-06-15T05:21:37+00:00 Atina Hussaana Nining Farrikh Azida Ana Marisa Anisatus Sholikhah
Background: Islam has clear rules about halal products. For a Muslim, consuming halal products is a form of devotion to Allah SWT. The concept of halal and haram is the main point in people's consumption patterns. Like consuming food, consuming medicine must also be halal. This study was designed to learn about the proportion of halal-labeled drugs in Apotek Enggal Saras Ungaran and the influence of halal labels on consumer decisions to choose medicines. Methods: The research method uses a direct survey. The questionnaire was addressed to buyers at the Apotek Enggal Saras Ungaran who bought halal-labeled drugs and those not labeled as halal to determine the respondent's interest in halal-labeled products. Data collection is done by grouping the data according to the criteria and calculating the percentage of each group. Results: The use of halal-labeled drugs and drugs not labeled halal are 60% and 40%, respectively. Conclusion: Muslim consumers prefer halal products to those that are not labeled halal. Factors that determine community decision-making in choosing halal-labeled drugs at Apotek Enggal Saras Ungaran include knowledge of halal labels, price affordability, product evaluation, fulfillment of halal product needs, and alternatives in decisions to use halal drugs.
2023-08-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Atina Hussaana, Nining Farrikh Azida, Ana Marisa, Anisatus Sholikhah Evaluasi Sifat Fisik Sediaan Sabun Cair Ekstrak Bunga Telang (Clitoria ternate) 2023-07-26T00:28:26+00:00 Dwi Endah Kusumawati Rega Puspitasari
Background: Antiseptic liquid soap is increasingly popular with the public. The antibacterial substance that is usually contained in antiseptic liquid soap is triclosan, which when used in the long term can disrupt the balance of the normal flora on the skin, so natural ingredients are needed to replace the use of triclosan. One of the natural ingredients that can be used is butterfly pea. The aim of the study was to evaluate the physical properties of the butterfly pea liquid soap (organoleptic, pH, specific gravity, viscosity and foam stability) in accordance with the requirements listed in the SNI for liquid soap. Methods: This study is an analytical experiment, namely testing and analyzing the characteristics of butterfly pea liquid soap which consists of: organoleptic (consistency, color, aroma), pH, viscosity, and foam stability. Results: Hand washing liquid soap with butterfly pea flower extract complies with SNI requirements, with details: purple in color with slightly thick consistency, pH 4.5 – 5 , specific gravity 1.02 – 1.03 g/mL, viscosity 3456.33 – 6375.33 cP with foam stability of 93%. Conclusion: The physical characteristics of liquid hand washing soap with the active ingredient of butterfly pea flower extract comply with the requirements of SNI and have a purple color due to the presence of anthocyanin.
2023-08-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Dwi Endah Kusumawati, Rega Puspitasari LAKI-LAKI 40 TAHUN DENGAN GAMBARAN USG ADENOMYOMATOSUS GALDBLADDER 2023-06-19T12:40:32+00:00 Retno Widyastuti Triyanta Yuli Pramana
Background: Adenomyomatosus gallbladder (GA) is a benign change of the gallbladder wall characterized by excessive epithelial proliferation associated with hyperplasia of the muscularis propria. This situation causes thickening of the gallbladder, so that the gallbladder comet tail artifact appears on an abdominal ultrasound examination. Methods: A 40-year-old man with complaints of right upper quadrant abdominal pain that is colic and recurrent. The patient was hospitalized twice within a week with the same complaint. Ultrasound examination of the patient's lawsuit against GA. The differential diagnosis of this case is chronic cholecystitis and cholesterosis, as seen from complaints of right quadrant abdominal pain and comet tail ultrasound images. Results: Cholecystectomy in patients is indicated for therapy and histopathological diagnosis. The results of histopathological examination obtained a picture that pointed to chronic cholecystitis. Conclusion: Diagnosis by histopathology is necessary in patients with ultrasound images of comet tail artifacts in the gallbladder to determine the patient's treatment and prognosis.
2023-08-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Retno Widyastuti, TY Pramana Pengaruh Waktu Dan Suhu Ekstraksi Daun Melinjo (Gnetum Gnenom L.) terhadap Aktivitas Antioksidan 2023-08-23T14:54:04+00:00 Windi Susmayanti Dwi Endah Kusumawati
Background: The widely cultivated melinjo leaf, or Gentum L genome, is the most valuable commodities cause it contains phenolic chemicals that have antioxidant properties. It is possible to get phenolic chemicals from melinjo leaves by macerating them in ethanol, typically at room temperature. By raising the temperature and length of the extraction process, the yield-maximizing extraction process can be hastened. Methods: The objective of this study is to ascertain the antioxidant activity of melinjo leaves that have been ethanol extracted at 45, 60, and 75 °C. For each temperature change, extraction was done using 96% ethanol (1:10, w/v) for 30 and 45 minutes. The yield, phytochemical assay, total phenolic, and antioxidant activity using the The CUPRAC technique is the variables tested in this study. Results: According to research findings, temperature and extraction time have an impact on yield, content phenolic total, and antioxidant activity. An extract with the maximum antioxidant activity and the consistent phenol content 105.97±5.53 mg GAE/ml and Ic50 of 59.7953 was produced after 45 minutes of extraction at 60°C, but the yield was only 2.22%.
2023-08-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Windi Susmayanti, Dwi Endah Kusumawati
